This permits use in classes that want lazy initialization and their
own `constexpr` constructor, such as `mstd::mutex`.

Do not specify the debug level for develop and release profiles. Instead
rely on the compiler to choose sensible default (-g2). Note that -g1 is
minimal debugging information and does not include structure definitions
which quite heavily reduces debugging experience.
For develop and release profiles this results in elf file containing
structure definitions. This does not impact debug profile as it already
did use -g3 which is the highest debug level.
Compatible debuggers (eg. gdb, SEGGER Ozone) can use the extra information
to provide better debugging experience. For example, when compiled .elf is
loaded in gdb, this change makes it trivial to access internal RTX data.

VSCode exporter was generating a launch config that contained absolute paths to the
compiler executables. It makes more sense to use the executables that are
installed into the system PATH.
When packing data into multiple regions using the `.ANY` directive,
the linker can accidentally overfill an area.
This doesn't normally happen because it defaults to
`--any_placement=worst_fit`, which puts data in the region with
most space.
When we prioritise regions with `.ANY1`/`.ANY2`, it may totally fill
an area, then fail to leave enough space for linker-generated veneers.
We've just seen this error with the new K64F linker map.
Adding `--any-contingency` makes it lower priority when a region is
98% full, avoiding this error.
The option should not have any effect on targets with scatter files
without prioritised `.ANY` directives.
Due to some historical reasons ARMC 5 compiler behaves very
differently compared to others (GCC, IAR, ARM C 6) as it optimizes
performance rather than size (like the others).
All compilers should behave the same way with the same profile,
thus ARM C 5 should also drive towards size (space).
Lots of target code, STM in particular, uses the `register` keyword, so
it'll take a little while to clean up. In the interim, some builds are
producing a lot of warnings. Suppress the warning for now, as `register`
remains legal C++14 and C11, despite C++14 deprecating it.
C++17 removes `register`, so code will need to be cleaned before any
further C++ version update.
Clang warns about reserved user-defined literals by default. This
warning is not terribly helpful; compilers aren't normally in the
habit of warning about use of reserved identifiers. It can interfere
with, for example, deliberate emulation of a future standard
language feature.
The warning was promoted to an error in an mbed client build, due to a
non-C++11 "%s"name occurring in a macro. But the macro itself was never
invoked, so the misinterpretation as C++11 caused no problems other than
this warning. Killing the warning will let that code build on ARMC6.
The code already built on GCC and IAR.
If that macro ever was used, then a separate error about operator ""
name not being defined would be generated, on all 3 toolchains.
This is limited to ARMC6 because as of µVision V5.27 you can't set C++11
for ARMC5.
Also current µVision does not support gnu++14. We should be able to get
is as `<default>`, as it is the default for ARM Compiler 6.10-6.12,
but this option does not work as documented and actually requests
gnu++89 explicitly. So gnu++14 is mapped to gnu++11.
Musca-A1 is a Cortex-M33 based target with security extension enabled.
- ARM_MUSCA_A1 is the non-secure target running mbed-os.
- ARM_MUSCA_A1_S is the secure target running TF-M.
- TF-M sources were imported and patched in previous commits.
- TF-M secure bootloader (McuBoot) for MUSCA_A1 is submitted by a pre-built binary.
- A post-build hook concatenates The secure and non-secure binaries,
signs it and then concatenates the bootloader with the signed binary.

Change the heuristic for selection of CMSE in the tools python, so that
a non-TrustZone ARMv8 build can happen.
Ideally we would have more direct flagging in the targets, but this
refines the heuristic so the necessary behaviour can be easily
achieved.
* DOMAIN_NS=1 is based purely on the `-NS` suffix on the core name.
* Enabling CMSE in the compiler and outputting a secure import library
is now enabled when the core doesn't have an `-NS` suffix by either
the target label `TFM` being present or the flag `trustzone` being set.
This covers the existing ARMv8-M behaviour - TF-M builds have the TFM
label, as per its documentation; M2351 secure builds have no explicit
flagging, so we ensure that the M2351_NS target has the trustzone flag
set, and the out-of-tree secure target inherits that.
PSA code generation will be called automatically upon mbed invocation.
The autogenerated files will be created under <mbed-os-root>/PSA_AUTOGEN directory.

Projects that are zipped are typically from the online compiler or they
are meant to be used in a separate environment. Since the postbuild
script requires the Mbed OS tools to present in the project, we will
disable the postbuild script when the project is exported to a zipped
project.
merge_region_list was changed to do some extra checks regarding the
different regions. It only was checking the "restrict_size" parameter
and not the whole config option. So this reduces the argument down to
just this value. This makes it easier to serialize the data needed for
post build steps after being built in an exported project.
When zipping up projects, the makefile exporter brings every directory
supplied as --source under the same directory, even if they are in a
parent directory. There was some code that was clearing the leading
"../" components. This lead to an empty string ("") being supplied to
the "into_path" arg for "resources.add_directory". Since "" is not None,
the default behavior to place it in the same directory was not being
used. The extra "" caused a leading "/" to be added, making everything
placed a the absolute root of the filesystem ("/").
Now we check to see if the "into_path" is an empty string and ignore it
if that's the case.
The FileRefs allow you to preserve the correct file paths in the online
compiler. It also allows you to preserve the correct file paths for
generated files.

Primary cause of false Travis CI failures was running 'apt-get update'.
Refactored all instances where this was needed with manually fetching and installing dependencies in S3 instace.
This also includes GCC installation.
Since the year dot GCC has been passed the `-fno-builtin` option, which
eliminates all compiler knowledge of the C library, even down to basic
stuff like `memcpy` or `memset`, potentially inhibiting quite a lot of
optimisations.
Remove the option to re-enable the optimisations.
There is no record in the source as to why the option is present - maybe
we'll find out by trying to remove it. If necessary, it could be
selectively turned back on for particular functions.
Projects have only ever made use of one linker script per compiler.
However, the tools would store references to multiple linker scripts in
a project and select one in a non-deterministic way. Now we clear out
any existing linker script when we add a new one to a project. This way,
the last added linker script is always used.
The sct file path generated in the online compiler
is incorrect. Fix that by changing the correct_scatter_shebang
API to accept a FileRef object instead and use the path.
This change should go with change in online compiler that removes
the override for correct_scatter_shebang.

### Description
Cmsis Pack Manager 0.2.4 corrected parsing of specifically the flash
algorithm default attribute. It was allowed to be "0", "1", "true"
and "false". CPM 0.2.3 parsed "1" into false, and this behavior was
corrected in 0.2.4.
This PR uses 0.2.4 to update the index.

1. Fix MBED_RAM_START/MBED_RAM_SIZE are not generated when there are
target.mbed_ram_start/target.mbed_ram_size overrides

There are two new functions: get_valid_toolchain_names and
find_valid_toolchain. These functions are used to figure out if a
fallback is possible and necessary. find_valid_toolchain is expected to
be used by the front-end scripts.
get_toolchain_name was updated with some different logic and comments.
On Windows 7 using --preproc option in ARMC6 assembler doesn't work
when -MD option is also specified. Compiler creates incorrect filename for
dependency file and compilation files.
To workaround this issue, this change returns to using a temporary file and
separately calling preprocessor and assembler (as in a case of ARMC5).
In case of a non-overwriting change to an exported config file
the previous logic appended a new block of text to the previous file
every time the to-be-written block of text was not exactly matched.
This parses the old config file and the to-be-written changes into
sets, which can then be compared. If all of the incoming lines are
found in the old config file set, no changes are made. If some
incoming lines are not found in the old config file, only these are
appended.
mbed_config.h is a file that is placed in your project root when you
export. This allows the configuration to be used by your IDE. When this
file already exists (due to a previous export), it changed the compiler
include option on Windows from "-include mbed_config.h" to "-include
.\mbed_config.h". The "\" character was interpreted as an escape
character "\m" and broke the build. This converts all resource paths to
use the Posix path separator "/" before writing project files to avoid
this issue.
The call to encode() was causing the include paths to be placed in the
uvision product file with the prefix "b'" and the postfix "'". This
broke the parsing of this file and broke the build.
The compiler used for the ARM toolchain changes depending on the target.
This changes the front end scripts to do the proper toolchain look up
before checking the system PATH for the compiler executable. The tools
were always checking for the ARMC5 compiler, now it should check for the
right version.

The Makefile is run from the build directory. The source files were
properly prefixed with "../", however the paths provided to the
assmebler were not. This ensures the assembler include paths are
prefixed properly.
Revert latest change to index. Linker scripts follow one RAM region. If index is updated,
requires further changes in the target that should be done separately.
Priously, post-bulid was run before the merge from managed bootloader mode.
This renders many post-build scripts less than useful, as most of them
compute a digest of the ROM image generated in a build.
This reorders the post-build scripts to come after the managed bootloader
mode so that post-build script digests are useful again.
The "hook tools" were capable of hooking into many commands run by the build system.
To my knowlage, the only hook is the "post-build-hook". The post build hook could be
easier to reason about if the implementation is specialized for just post-build
hooking.
This commit make it much easier to point out where post build hooks are called by
making the call explicit.
Reference template file is used from IAR8.32 installation available at path

When the original PSOC6 CM4 hex file contains unalinged text sections
that span through multiple intelhex segments, aligned segments (filled
with zeroes) overlap with the original data segments, resulting in
error thrown by ihex.merge(alignments, overlap='error').
Such hex file can be produced when the ELF is built with ARM MDK Compiler
with --split_sections option:

Change the merge strategy to overlap='ignore', so that the overlapping
zero-filled segments are skipped.

Single hex file should be passed to srec_cat when hex_filename
is set in targets.json or mbed_app.json.
The templ file names are both all upper case and lower case letters.
The Target Names map is usually all upper case. The match could fail
if the templ file, as we have case-sensitive comparison. Handle such
cases by perorming a case-insensitve check.
mbed export of a project to MCUXpresso could potentially always fail
irrespective of what is passed in -m option since the target names
map entry and the filename may not match. This commit fixes this issue.
Example of the issue that this commit fixes:

The command-line argument '--profile' looks for build
profiles provided in mbed-os/tools/profiles/. If a
directory name exists in the root folder with the
same name as one of the profile names provided by
default [e.g debug/develop/release], that directory
is processed instead resulting in incorrect behavior.
Fix this behavior by processing the default profiles first.
Currently, if you were to add a directory that only contained .inc
files, this file would not be passed as an include path to the compiler.
This ensures that .inc files are also considered header files.
Allow to use default intelliSenseEngine in visual studio code.
Add of compilerPath and forcedInclude of mbed_config header in the
created c_cpp_properties.json file.
When building secure targets, we would like compile only files that are in the the mbe-os root folder.
This Fixes an issue when sending multiple --source parameters that are all inside the mbed-os tree

Rename the existing PSoC-specific m0_core_img key in targets.json
as a more generic hex_filename key. Update makefile exporter to select
the subset of resources.hex_files matching the hex_filename value.
Without this fix, multiple prebuilt CM0+ hex files are found in the
target resources and erroneously passed to the srec_cat tool.
The fix is generic so other targets that need post-build hex merging
can use this key to pass the correct image to srecord tool.
The fix also removes sub_target key: instead, rely hex_filename json
key to detect if the hex image merging needs to be done.
The sub_target is not used in mbed-os codebase for anything else.
It is possible to override the hex file name in mbed_app.json:

PSoC 6 hex files contain 4-byte chip ID at virtual offset 0x90500002
added by PSoC Creator or cymcuelftool from .cymeta ELF section.
merge_images compares chip ID in CM0+ and CM4 hex files and raises
an exception in case of mismatch. Chip ID is different for each MPN
(for example, 0xE2072100 for CY8C6347BZI-BLD53 and 0xE2062100 for
CY8C6247BZI-D54). CM0+ prebuilt images target CY8C6347BZI-BLD53
but should be compatible with other PSoC6 MPNs.
Remove the check to enable merging CM0+ images with CM4 applications
built for different MPNs, with empty or absent cymetadata.
printf was called from ISR when sleep tracing was enabled. Issue was
captured only in debug profile.
Printf is not allowed from ISR context and issues like this should be
trapped in case of debug profiles as well.
Main thread in Mbed OS is statically allocated and was not available in call
stack of Keil MDK. The RTX5 kernel requires statically allocated thread
information objects that are placed into a specific section to enable RTOS
thread awareness in Keil MDK. This fix is to keep main thread in specific
section of memory.
This is for OS2 testing. Previously, targets that were configured with
the option "default_toolchain": "uARM" would still build to a
TOOLCHAIN_ARM_STD directory. This fixes these targets to build into
TOOLCHAIN_ARM_MICRO.
The DEVICE_FOO macros are always defined (either 0 or 1).
This patch replaces any instances of a define check on a DEVICE_FOO
macro with value test instead.

For binary compatibility with ARMC5, use the hard ABI variant whenever
we have FP hardware - this is ARMC5's default behaviour, which we do not
override.
Cortex-M4F was already using hard; this brings M7F and M33F into line.
### Description
PR #8607 will cause problems for the NRF52832 and the NRF52840
in the online compiler starting with 5.10.2. This PR prevents this problem
by using a toggle in `targets.json` to enable these new defines for every
target except for the NRF52832 and NRF52840.

This covers the case when a macro is set with the same name as a
parameter. Previously, the macro would be repeated on the command line,
which causes certain toolchains to break (ex. IAR assembler). Now the
config system will override the parameter's value with the macro's
value.
IAR 8 linker map puts C++14-style apostrophe digit separators in its
addresses, such as:
.data inited 0x2000'1ff0 0x4 mbed_rtx_idle.o [159]
Extend the regex pattern to allow this.

### Description
This PR moves the old memap file handling required for differential
memap from within memap to the toolchain object. This has the
advantage that we can do the `mv <app>.map <app>.map.old` the moment
before it is overwritten by the linker. This should allow multiple
reruns of memap without modifying your build directory.

The 'archive' method of the toolchain class 'ARM' expects that self.ar
is a string, but the constructor of the class 'ARMC6' initializes it
with a list. This patch fixes the issue.
### Description
Arm compiler 5 builds with "short" enums and "short" wchars. This means
that C/C++ enums will be packed into the smallest power of 2 number of
bytes by the compiler and the `wchar_t` is 2 bytes. Arm compiler 6
defaults to packing enums into 4 bytes and `wchar_t` is 4 bytes.
Further, Arm Compiler 5's `-O0` (no optimizations) bulids will actually
do some amount of optimizing, similar to Arm Compiler 6's `-O1`. I have
switched the debug profile to `-O1` for maximum compatibility with our
prior behavior.

### Description
The prior fix assume that the dependencies through `.lib` references
would have a "sane" name. My definition of "sane" here is that the
reference will have a path that starts with the path to the `.lib` file
and _removes_ the `.lib` suffix. The online compiler does not remove the
`.lib` suffix. Instead, it keeps it. This makes the string replacement
in the prior PR fail.
Also, this is faster, and simpler.

### Description
Ignored directories are collected for the sake of exporters that use
a blacklist-style approach similar to these build tools. This ignore
list will include `/filer/<gibberish>` when exported from the online
Compiler. This patch fixes that behavoir.
