CT30 Z-Wave Thermostat
This describes the Z-Wave device CT30, manufactured by Radio Thermostat Company of America (RTC) with the thing type UID of rtc_ct30_00_000
.
The device is in the category of HVAC, defining Air condition devices, Fans.
The CT30 supports routing. This allows the device to communicate using other routing enabled devices as intermediate routers. This device is also able to participate in the routing of data between other devices in the mesh network.
Overview
This thermostat was made by Radio Thermostat Company of America or 2Gig. It can use either WiFi or Z-Wave or both depending on
which USNAP modules are installed.
Inclusion Information
Put your primary controller in include mode.
Press the MENU button
Tap the MATE button under the radio tower icon. A large "r1" or "r2" wil be displayed indicating which slot the USNAP module is in.
Tap the MATE button under the radio tower icon again to include.
Exclusion Information
Put your primary controller in exclude mode.
Press the MENU button
Tap the MATE button under the radio tower icon. A large "r1" or "r2" wil be displayed indicating which slot the USNAP module is in.

Device Configuration
The following table provides a summary of the 6 configuration parameters available in the CT30. Detailed information on each parameter can be found in the sections below.
Param | Name | Description |
---|---|---|
1 | Temperature Reporting Threshold | Sets the reporting threshold for changes in the ambient temperature as detected by the thermostat. |
3 | Utility Lock Enable/Disable | The Utility Lock Configuration Set command enables or disables the utility lock. If the utility lock is enabled, the setpoint cannot be modified directly via the thermostat screen. |
5 | Humidity Reporting Threshold | The Humidity Threshold Configuration Set Command sets the reporting threshold for changes in the relative humidity as detected by the thermostat. |
6 | Auxiliary/Emergency | The Auxiliary/Emergency configuration command enables or disables auxiliary / emergency heating in the thermostat. Auxiliary / emergency heating is only available if the thermostat is configured in heat pump mode and with at least one stage of auxiliary h |
7 | Thermostat Swing Temperature | The Thermostat Swing Temperature configuration command sets swing temperature on the thermostat. The swing temperature is applied to the setpoint to determine when the thermostat will turn on the HVAC system. If the thermostat is heating, the swing temper |
8 | Thermostat Diff Temperature | The Thermostat Differential Temperature configuration command sets the differential temperature for multi-stage HVAC systems. The differential temperature delta defines when the thermostat will turn on additional stages. There are two differential tempera |

Association Groups
Association groups allow the device to send unsolicited reports to the controller, or other devices in the network. Using association groups can allow you to eliminate polling, providing instant feedback of a device state change without unnecessary network traffic.
The CT30 supports 1 association group.
Group 1: Group 1
Association group 1 supports 2 nodes.
