--- layout: documentation title: 4512715 - ZWave --- {% include base.html %} # 4512715 Switch 400W This describes the Z-Wave device *4512715*, manufactured by *Namron* with the thing type UID of ```namron_4512715_00_000```. This allows the device to communicate using other routing enabled devices as intermediate routers. This device is also able to participate in the routing of data between other devices in the mesh network. ## Overview Z-Wave relay for flush mounting. This relay is used to switch on/off connected lighting devices, and works with both halogen and LED light sources. Can be included and operated in a Z-Wave network with other Z-Wave devices, and will act as a signal repeater to increase the reliability of the network. With an indoor range of 40 metres, you can use this relay to switch the lighting on and off from almost anywhere in the house. ### Inclusion Information 1. Set primary controller/gateway into inclusion mode (Please refer to your primary controllers manual on how to turn your controller into inclusion).  2. Power on the in-wall switch and set it into inclusion mode. There are two methods to set the in-wall switch into inclusion mode:  1.   Repower on the switch, it will be set into inclusion mode automatically, and waiting to be included.  2.   Triple press the action button on the switch, it will set the switch into inclusion mode. ### Exclusion Information There are two exclusion methods:  Method 1: Exclusion from the primary controller/gateway as follows:  1. Set the primary controller/gateway into exclusion mode (Please refer to your primary controllers manual on how to set your controller into exclusion).  2. Triple press the action button, the switch will be set to exclusion mode, and waiting to be excluded, then the switch will be excluded from the network.  Method 2: Factory reset the switch will force the switch to be excluded from a network. (please refer to the part “Factory Reset” of this manual)  Note: Factory reset is not recommended for exclusion, please use this procedure only if the primary controller/gateway is missing or otherwise inoperable.  Factory Reset:  Press and hold down the action button for over 10 seconds, the switch will be reset to factory defaults. ### General Usage Information ## Channels The following table summarises the channels available for the 4512715 -: | Channel Name | Channel ID | Channel Type | Category | Item Type | |--------------|------------|--------------|----------|-----------| | Switch | switch_binary | switch_binary | Switch | Switch | | Scene Number | scene_number | scene_number | | Number | | Alarm (system) | alarm_system | alarm_system | | Switch | ### Switch Switch the power on and off. The ```switch_binary``` channel is of type ```switch_binary``` and supports the ```Switch``` item and is in the ```Switch``` category. ### Scene Number Triggers when a scene button is pressed. The ```scene_number``` channel is of type ```scene_number``` and supports the ```Number``` item. ### Alarm (system) Indicates if a system alarm is triggered. The ```alarm_system``` channel is of type ```alarm_system``` and supports the ```Switch``` item. This is a read only channel so will only be updated following state changes from the device. This parameter has the configuration ID ```config_2_1``` and is of type ```INTEGER```. ### Parameter 3: Report to Lifeline Enable/disable to send the basic report to the Lifeline when the load state changed (When value set as 1, re-power on the switch, it will send Basic report automatically) 0 - Disable to send Basic report  1 - Enable to send Basic report The following option values may be configured -: | Value | Description | |--------|-------------| | 0 | Disable sending basic report | | 1 | Enable sending basic report | The manufacturer defined default value is ```1``` (Enable sending basic report). This parameter has the configuration ID ```config_3_1``` and is of type ```INTEGER```. ### Parameter 5: External switch type External switch type 0 – Push button switch  1 – normal on/off switch The following option values may be configured, in addition to values in the range 0 to 1 -: | Value | Description | |--------|-------------| | 0 | Push button switch | | 1 | Normal on/off switch | The manufacturer defined default value is ```0``` (Push button switch). This parameter has the configuration ID ```config_5_1``` and is of type ```INTEGER```. ### Parameter 7: Use switch for inclusion / exclusion Enable/disable the switch to be added to or removed from a network through external switch (when enables this function, triple press the external switch within 1.5 seconds to enable the switch to be added or removed) 0 - disable  1 - enable The following option values may be configured, in addition to values in the range 0 to 1 -: | Value | Description | |--------|-------------| | 0 | Disable | | 1 | Enable | The manufacturer defined default value is ```1``` (Enable). This parameter has the configuration ID ```config_7_1``` and is of type ```INTEGER```. ## Association Groups Association groups allow the device to send unsolicited reports to the controller, or other devices in the network. Using association groups can allow you to eliminate polling, providing instant feedback of a device state change without unnecessary network traffic. The 4512715 supports 1 association group. ### Group 1: Lifeline The Lifeline association group reports device status to a hub and is not designed to control other devices directly. When using the Lineline group with a hub, in most cases, only the lifeline group will need to be configured and normally the hub will perform this automatically during the device initialisation. Lifeline association group 1. When press and hold down “Reset” button to factory reset the dimmer, send "Device Reset Locally Notification CC" to associated devices of this group.  2. When load state changes, send "Basic Report CC" to associated devices of this group.  3. When over temperature protection is detected, send "Emergency shutoff status" to Lifeline.
