--- layout: documentation title: 50x5xx - ZWave --- {% include base.html %} # 50x5xx Roller shutter push-button This describes the Z-Wave device *50x5xx*, manufactured by *Merten* with the thing type UID of ```merten_50x5xx_00_000```. The device is in the category of *Blinds*, defining Roller shutters, window blinds, etc.. ![50x5xx product image](https://www.cd-jackson.com/zwave_device_uploads/57/57_default.jpg) The 50x5xx supports routing. This allows the device to communicate using other routing enabled devices as intermediate routers. This device is also able to participate in the routing of data between other devices in the mesh network. ## Overview The roller shutter push-button contains a radio receiver for the Merten CONNECT radio system. If you use the blind control inserts 580699 or 580698, you can operate the connected roller shutter drive remotely using a Merten CONNECT radio transmitter. You can also operate the roller shutters using the rocker on the roller shutter push-button. You can use the Merten CONNECT radio button, the Merten CONNECT radio remote control or the Merten CONNECT radio central unit as the transmitter. ### Inclusion Information Program (transmits Node info frame) Triple click on operating surface. Used for include/exclude the device by the primary   ### Exclusion Information Reset to the factory settings; exclude   Triple click on operating surface. Used for include/exclude the device by the primary   ## Channels The following table summarises the channels available for the 50x5xx -: | Channel | Channel Id | Category | Item Type | |---------|------------|----------|-----------| | Blinds Control | blinds_control | Blinds | Rollershutter | | Sensor (luminance) | sensor_luminance | | Number | | Dimmer 1 | switch_dimmer1 | DimmableLight | Dimmer | | Sensor (luminance) 1 | sensor_luminance1 | | Number | | Dimmer 2 | switch_dimmer2 | DimmableLight | Dimmer | ### Blinds Control Provides start / stop control of blinds. The ```blinds_control``` channel supports the ```Rollershutter``` item and is in the ```Blinds``` category. ### Sensor (luminance) Indicates the current light reading. The ```sensor_luminance``` channel supports the ```Number``` item. This is a read only channel so will only be updated following state changes from the device. ### Dimmer 1 The brightness channel allows to control the brightness of a light. It is also possible to switch the light on and off. The ```switch_dimmer1``` channel supports the ```Dimmer``` item and is in the ```DimmableLight``` category. ### Sensor (luminance) 1 Indicates the current light reading. The ```sensor_luminance1``` channel supports the ```Number``` item. This is a read only channel so will only be updated following state changes from the device. ### Dimmer 2 The brightness channel allows to control the brightness of a light. It is also possible to switch the light on and off. The ```switch_dimmer2``` channel supports the ```Dimmer``` item and is in the ```DimmableLight``` category. ## Device Configuration The following table provides a summary of the 7 configuration parameters available in the 50x5xx.
