The `regexp.quoteMeta()` function escapes all regular expression metacharacters inside of a string.

_**Output data type:** String_

```js
import "regexp"

regexp.quoteMeta(v: ".+*?()|[]{}^$")

// Returns "\.\+\*\?\(\)\|\[\]\{\}\^\$"
```

## Parameters

The string that contains regular expression metacharacters to escape.
